With over 20 years experience in the energy industry, primarily oil and gas, I was first exposed to Texas deregulation in 2002 when my wife switched our primary residence to a Competitive Retail Electric Provider (CREP). In 2005, that contract was expiring and an opportunity to work with another fast-growing CREP emerged. The timing was perfect and a great opportunity to help others presented itself. I began gathering residential customers and building a team of customer-gatherers. Setting all kinds of records, the new provider offered individuals the opportunity to participate in the electric business like never before. I was able to leverage years of experience in the energy industry to help others save money on their residential electrical bills.
After recognizing the greater opportunity in commercial electricity, we looked for CREPs to partner with from a field of almost 100 Texas companies. We set out to choose an elite group of CREPs that manage customer risk properly, offer competitive pricing, and have stellar customer service. We selected a handful of providers and began calling on existing relationships we had from other business to business channels and networking. Energy Expert Group is the fruit of that labor and has been successfully saving our customers money on their electric bills ever since.
